Between chamber ensemble and orchestra, Sinfonietta VivazzA creates a sound world of its own — combining intimacy, transparency, and symphonic richness. The ensemble develops innovative concert formats that make classical music immediate, accessible, and engaging.

Founded in 2011 by clarinetist Pamela Coats, Sinfonietta VivazzA is guided by her artistic vision and leadership, presenting exceptional programs, new perspectives, and the rediscovery of rarely performed works. Rooted in the belief that “classical music belongs to everyone”, the ensemble creates a close connection between musicians and audiences, combining well-known masterpieces with unjustly forgotten compositions. Sinfonietta VivazzA is particularly dedicated to rarely performed nonet settings, giving forgotten voices of music history a new stage.

Since its founding in Cologne, Sinfonietta VivazzA has performed at renowned venues including the Tonhalle Düsseldorf, the Chamber Music Hall of the Beethoven House Bonn, the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg, the Chamber Music Hall of the Berlin Philharmonie, the Resonanzraum Hamburg, and the Teatro Nuevo Alcalá in Madrid. In recognition of its commitment to remembering composers who were persecuted and marginalized, the ensemble was invited to perform at the official commemoration ceremony at the Theresienstadt Memorial in the Czech Republic.

The artistic work of Sinfonietta VivazzA has received multiple awards, including prizes at the Medici International Music Competition and the BTHVN Wien Competition. Radio features on WDR 3 and Deutschlandfunk document the ensemble’s diverse artistic activities.
Beyond its concert performances, Sinfonietta VivazzA is dedicated to music education through workshops, children’s concerts, and educational projects that foster dialogue between art, society, and musical knowledge.
